Architect

Simon is the founding member of Simon Design Group. Simon is a registered architect in three states and brings an extensive background in retail strategy and design.  With more than 20 years of professional experience, he has worked on some very notable projects in the Chicago and Denver areas.

His recent emphasis has been on Automotive and Retail, with a particular focus on Retail Rollout.  Automotive brands have included General Motors (Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick, GMC), Acura, Aston Martin, Chrysler, Honda, JLR, Kia, Mazda, Mercedes Benz, Porsche, Subaru, Toyota, VW - among many others.  Retail roll-out clients have included brands such as Arby’s, Bank One, Banana Republic, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Gap, McDonald’s, and Starbucks.

After many wonderful years of fulfilling projects at Gensler, Simon founded Simon Design Group at the request of several clients,  with the seminal idea that design should be generated by listening to clients, caring about client needs, and treating people with respect.  Simon has worked with some of the most respected firms in the design industry where he developed his philosophy, skill, and expertise - Gensler, Soos Architecture, and Roth Sheppard Architects.  He has served on the design teams of automotive OEMs for both General Motors and Kia.

Simon’s primary role for most clients is to integrate research, design, project delivery, and account management. Throughout the design process, Simon works diligently to listen and maximize return on investment by designing sensible and beautiful projects.

Simon enjoys taking photographs, training for triathlons, and volunteering at local charity ministries.

Erin Moore  

Project Manager

Architectural Designer

Erin is a Project Designer and Production Architect with over 17 years of experience in proposal, contract, and construction document production. She provides design and technical direction for project team members, materials suppliers, and subcontractors.  She excels from the office to the field - maintaining communication of the design intent. Demonstrating excellent interpersonal communication and analytical problem-solving skills. Known for meeting project deadlines in a fast-paced environment and following through.  Researching and ensuring code compliance with various municipalities across the US and Internationally. 

Specialties: AutoCAD 2019 proficient, construction document production, materials estimates, building productive client interaction, partnering with peers, business contacts, vendor representatives, and administration.
